When Lord Hanuman is desperately searching for mata Sita in Lanka and unable to find her,
he prays to Lord Rama to help him and that is the precise moment he hears a voice chanting
Lord Rama in his prayers. On going closer he notices a temple decorated with signs of conch,
bow and arrow. Hanuman introduces himself to Vibhishan, brother of Ravana, also a devotee
of Lord Ram. Vibhushan informs Hanuman that Sita is in Ashok Vatika seated beneath a
banyan tree and Hanuman proceeds to find her.
But not before bowing to Mother Tulsi. Vibhishan’s chamber is the only spot in all of Lanka
to have a Tulsi plant
