Arifa is part of Muhabbat Se, Gubbara Entertainment’s three-film Kashmir anthology,
presented by the Azim Premji Foundation. The films look at Kashmir beyond the narratives
of conflict and explores love and friendship through an intimate prism.
Arifa is the story of an estranged daughter who returns home after years of separation for a
final goodbye to her father. The idea was to break the stereotype narrative and project a
powerful, emotional story and Arifa succeeded in the endeavour.
