Being Saira Banu – Day 2872

The beautiful Saira Banu turns 79. Counted amongst the most glamorous stars of the 60s movies, she excelled in some performing roles as well like Shagird, Purab Paschim and Chaitali. Married to India’s finest actor, Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu continued to work in films post marriage and was active on the big screen from 1961–1984. She lives in her Pali Hill bungalow in Mumbai and has now turned more of a recluse.
