The journalists loved Dev Ananad because he made a good copy. The photographers looked forward to a shoot with him because he made an easy model, offered a variety of expressions and angles and packed up the session within moments. Sometime in the eighties Dev Anand shifted office from Santacruz to Bandra and now operated from a large bungalow called Anand in Pali Hill. I often dropped by to meet and if he was not shooting, he was always willing for a coffee break and stimulating conversation. He is the only superstar I know who fixed his own appointments and personally phoned to invite you for his parties. He was always at the venue before time to personally receive all his guests.
