The cast was present in their best spirit, Actors Taylor Treadwell, Vishy Ayyar and Jordy
Cass, alongside producers Rashaana Shah, Cristy Coors Beasley, and Naveen Chathapuram,
all happy to walk the red carpet. Apart from IFFI, Goa, American Warrior has been in official
competition at numerous international festivals and now to be released worldwide around
April 2025.
It is the story of an Indian immigrant Jai Kumar played by Visshy Ayyar and set in the world
of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) centres on the universal theme of redemption and second
chances directed by debut director Gustavo Martin Benites. As “Jai” navigates newfound and
unwelcome attention, he is pushed to confront his past demons and seize an opportunity to
make a mark.
